AI-Powered Fax Suggestions

This feature will be rolled out in phases on selected clients.

What’s new

  • Automatic AI suggestions for Patient, Document Purpose, and Link Document Type when a fax is received.

  • One-click acceptance to auto-populate details in the Fax Received screen.

  • New columns in the Fax Received Grid:

    • AI Patient: Suggested patient by AI.

    • AI Document Purpose: Purpose identified by AI.

    • AI Accepted: Yes/No indicator for acceptance.

  • The system learns from accepted suggestions, improving future accuracy.

Use Cases

  • A provider quickly links incoming referral documents to the correct patient record without manual searching.

  • Administrative staff reduces errors by accepting AI-suggested document types, ensuring consistency.

  • Clinics save time by having the system auto-learn and pre-fill documents for future use.

Navigations

Reports > General > Fax Received > Document Detail

Steps to Follow

1. Click on the Fax Received Date (hyperlinked) to open the Document received via Fax.

2. In Document Viewer, AI Suggestion is introduced, which shows the Patient Name, Document Purpose, and Link Document Type.

3. Upon clicking on the Accept button, the Patient Details, such as Patient Account # and Document Type, will be populated in the Select Patient and Document type fields as shown below:

4. Finally, click on the Link button to link the document with the AI-suggested patient.

5. The details will be populated in the Fax Received screen, as shown below:

After linking the Patient and Document Type, the details will be added in the Fax Received Grid, in the designated columns.

There are new columns added in the Fax Received grid/table:

  • AI Patient: Displays the patient suggested by the AI

  • AI Document Purpose: Shows the document purpose identified by the AI

  • AI Accepted: Indicates whether the AI suggestion has been accepted or rejected (Yes/No).

In the enhanced Fax Received UI, the Fax Received date is now hyperlinked, allowing users to view and link documents directly with patients, reducing clicks and improving usability.

Moreover, once the user accepts the AI suggestions, the system will learn the Document Purpose and Document Type linking and will suggest the same for the next document.
