Meet our new billing implementation manager, Lauren Gasaway! Lauren recently joined Practice EHR and will lead client on-boarding and implementation for customers using our practice management software.
We sat down with Lauren for a quick Q&A to learn more about her. We think she's an awesome addition to the team and we're excited for you to meet her! Read our conversation below to get to know her.
Q: What’s your role at Practice EHR?
A: I’m the billing implementation manager, so my role at Practice EHR is to teach clients how to use our practice management software and how it will make their lives easier. I really enjoy working with new clients, big or small, and helping them get up and running comfortably on our software. I guide them through the set up process, implement their system, conduct trainings and help answer questions related to medical billing and how our practice management software works.
Q: How did you get into healthcare?
A: The medical field has always been interesting to me. I got into healthcare when I was 18. I wanted to choose a path that would be a career and not just a job. Overtime, I have become more passionate about what I do and how I do my job. I really like that healthcare is an industry that’s always evolving. Now, I’ve been working in healthcare for ten years and specialize in physician service billing and revenue cycle management.
Q: Why did you want to work for Practice EHR?
A: Practice EHR takes an innovative approach to helping small practices, and that really sparked my interest. With my billing background, I immediately recognized the value of our practice management software and the value it brings to our doctors and medical billers as well. Our software is cost-effective and simplifies the billing aspect of running a medical practice.
Q: Anything else you'd like to add?
A: Working at Practice EHR has been great! I enjoy the people I work with and feel like I can really contribute to the overall mission of helping doctors run successful practices. I like that I can use what I’ve learned about medical billing and share my knowledge with our customers. There’s always so much to learn in healthcare, but I like that at Practice EHR I can build on what I already know, while bringing new ideas to light that will help our customers be successful. To all of our current and future customers out there, I look forward to working with you!
